AAFP Event Highlights: Kikkoman Easy Plate Revolutionizes Microbiological Testing for the Food and Beverage Industry

During our recent Fall conference (September 24-26), we co-hosted a highly informative and engaging Lunch & Learn, Hands-on workshop event with Weber Scientific. Attendees from across the meat and poultry industry and food safety gathered to learn about enhancing food safety protocols with Kikkoman Biochemifa Company Easy Plate, the game-changing microbiological testing solution.

Event Overview

Presented by Mrs.Alissa Shida, Regional Manager at Kikkoman Biochemifa Company’s Overseas Hygiene Monitoring Testing Group. Attendees were able to plate actual samples and see how efficient the Easy Plate was and how the colony grew. In the figure below is the plating method that was used. E.coli pure culture was plated during the hands-on workshop and after 24 hours of incubation, during the lunch and learn they were able to see how the colony grew and how easy it was to use the Colony Counting System. The event explored how Easy Plate is streamlining microbiological testing processes, reducing waste, and boosting operational efficiency.
