ATP Test (Kikkoman A3) uses the A3 method to verify cleanliness. A3 method uses ATP+ADP+AMP as a biological indicator found in microorganisms.

*What is ATP?
Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is an energy carrying molecule known as “ the energy currency of life” in all living organisms on earth. It is found in animal, plant, bacteria, food debris, yeast and mold. Microbial contamination on surface contains ATP, which is an indicator for insufficient cleaning.

*What is ATP+ADP+AMP?
When ATP releases energy it becomes adenosine diphosphate (ADP). Adenosine monophosphate (AMP) has the least amount of stored energy. Detecting all three compound and not only ATP, allows a higher detection of contamination on the surface.
